The Mitel Communicator allows users to change their mode from a simple drop-down menu. The Communicator system will automatically set your call handling mode to standard. Going into your system’s options and preferences allow you to customize up to five call handling modes.
These modes are labeled:

- In A Meeting
- Out of Office
- Extended Absence
- Custom
