The City of Brea Council voted to approve the IT departments recommendation of the Intelesys proposal to install a new Mitel VoIP communications system. This system will improve resident safety with enhanced 911 services to assist first responders in quickly locating reported problems or needs.
Additional compelling reasons driving the IT department’s recommendation were ease of management, built-in redundancy, improved call quality, and Intelesys’ vast experience in the local municipality market in Southern California.
The IT staff released a public Request for Proposal for the system in July of 2018. After a detailed analysis and product demonstrations to several city staff, the Intelesys proposal was given top recommendation by the IT department. Installation is targeted to be completed by May 2019.
